DEVjig
DEVjig is an innovative development and test platform designed to improve the efficiency of electronics engineering teams during the prototype phase. It combines a physical test fixture with a secure web-based portal, allowing engineers to perform standardized measurements, power control, programming, and data collection on electronic prototypes from a fixed setup. By reducing manual handling and enabling parallel and remote testing, DEVjig helps teams identify design issues earlier, work more collaboratively, and maintain better oversight during complex development cycles.
The project addresses common challenges in hardware and embedded software development, such as fragmented testing workflows, limited access to prototypes, and difficulty transitioning from development to production. DEVjig is being developed as an open and extensible platform that can integrate with existing tools and workflows, including version control systems. With this project, EVAbits aims to support faster innovation, smoother scaling toward manufacturing, and more structured collaboration between engineers, without replacing existing development practices or positioning itself as a commercial laboratory alternative.
EVAbits has secured funds from the European Fund for Regional Development (EFRO) to develop the DEVjig to a maximum of 159,840 EUR in a period of 24 months.
