EVAbits' prototypes take an idea from concept to product, taking into account all specifications. The product takes on its defintive look and function, and we consider the future producibility as well. Prototypes are usually tested in the lab as well as in the field and also subjected to regulatory tests. The prototypes generate data that is used to develop the analysis, back-end and presentation. More than one iteration may be done at this stage, as test results and user feedback may inspire new features and design modifications.
The complete prototype is defined in CAD/CAM software for the mechanical parts, PCB designer software for the electronics, and GIT maintained repositories for the software. At this stage, where the design still changes, We prefer the use of rapid pototyping methods like 3D printing or CNC milling for this stage as we can do this in house to keep the iterations short.
